Ducks Drinking Starbucks & Party Girl Clothes
Hello! You've reached 1-900-Very-Famous! Happy Summer to You...
Hi!!!
Love,

🧡 The Very Famous Five 🧡
1. I don’t usually enjoy celebrity profiles unless maybe it’s a ‘90s Vanity Fair situation (or a Caity Weaver situation!), but I REALLY enjoyed this non-profile profile on Meg White that writer Melissa Giannini gently sleuthed around for to paint a mysterious-yet-clear portrait, and the best part is, Meg still doesn’t have to talk.
“I was standing in the balcony, and I vividly remember the power of that guitar sound,” she says. “It felt scary in the way that you want music to—like titillating, animating, but also sort of like, is it safe to be this excited? And there was something about the dynamic between the two of them: Like, here’s this guy who is just this unleashed force of nature, and then here’s this small, feminine woman playing the bro-iest of instruments, and she seems to somehow be in charge, like she’s a conductor or something.” — Lizzy Goodman
Ok, it’s not letting me post Instagrams, sorry this is analog!!

3. This week, I got a coolass compliment about this story! And it is summer, which is quick-cash-now Party Girl Clothes time…
Where do all the brands come from? Princess Polly, something called Edikted, someone with 5,000 followers selling matching bodacious athleisure sets in Fort Lauderdale, party clothes, party clothes, party clothes! All these storefronts and their models feel like The Sims. If one falls in the forest, who hears it? How did every person on this earth learn how to do this? As I sound out “ed-ikt-ed” I have 6 items in my cart, and I’m trying to decide whether socks with pink flames or earrings in the shape of storage-unit locks would be worth it to scrape by for free shipping.
4. The Local Woman! This week she’s…competing for Miss Mississippi in Gulfport! getting her air conditioning back on in Buffalo, New York! Turning her hobby into a business in Cape Cod! Founding an organization for stroke survivors in Louisville! Working tirelessly to save Miami-Dade’s feral cat communities in Hialeah!
5. On the RV lifestyle along Texas beaches! Sarah Hepola explores for Texas Highways the RV communities that have grown in popularity in Texas beach towns like Galveston and Port Aransas. (There’s a Camp Margaritaville…)
He has everything he needs: an air fryer that cooks pretty much anything, a liquor store in walking distance, an electric scooter when he needs to go to town, and nice folks for neighbors. “I walk 2 miles on the beach every day with the dog,” Harwood says. He looks younger than his 62 years, with a boyish grin and skin lightly browned by the sun. Weekends can be crowded, but in these winter months, it’s a calm scene. “Monday through Thursday, I get the whole beach to myself.”
